Nagasaki - A hotel in Nagasaki, Japan will be the first hotel in the world that most of the employees are robots. Hotel named Henn-na is scheduled to open next July.
Hotel with 72 rooms that will be served 10 humanoid robot that has the ability to greet visitors, carry bag, and clean room.
The technology used by the hotel staff is not mere science fiction. Robots that will operate at Hotel Henn-na it come from the company
that has developed a robot Kokoro Actroid or humanoid robots since 2003.
Kokoro actroids made imitate the looks and style of young Japanese women. This robot is able to mimic human behavior such as breathing and a wink. This robot is also able to speak fluent Japanese, Chinese, Korean and English. Actroids also understand how to make eye contact and respond to body language and intonation of his interlocutor.
Henn-na hotel itself means "change" or "weird" in Japanese.
According to company president Hideo Sawada Huis Ten Bosch who built
the hotel, he expects the robot will do 90% of the work that must be
employees of the hotel.
"We will make the most efficient hotels throughout the world," said Sawada told the Japan Times.
Hotel
guests can access their rooms through face recognition instead of using
key cards that are commonly used in hotels at this time. Guests can also call room service using a tablet that has been provided.
Henn-na hotel will be located in Huis Ten Bosch Theme Park which is also called Huis Ten Bosch. The hotel building is built like a Dutch settlement in the 17th century in Nagasaki. Rent a room to stay at Hotel Henn-na starts from US $ 60, or about Rp 760,000 per night.
